2011 Mt Veeder WaterMark Cabernet

  • Tasting Notes

2011 was a great vintage on Mt Veeder ! Being at an elevation of 2200 feet these cabernet grapes suffered none of the valley floor issues ! This cabernet sauvignon has massive aromas of cherries and berries; with notes of mocha, vanilla and sweet smoke. Tobacco and cedar come through with a hints of violet and cherry. The entry is sweet with juicy fruit flavors and black cherry smoke character. The wine continues to please the palate as the toasty oak comes into play. A very long finish hints of ageworthiness. This wine is great now but can be laid down for the next 10-12 years.
